Inner City High School, a program of the Inner City Youth Development Association, was created because at-risk youth asked for it. They realize an education is the only way to escape poverty and build a better life. They also realize they need help to succeed.
The program provides classrooms and teachers – and much more. It also offers some basic needs of its students such as bus tickets, meals and clothing, as well as help to overcome social issues and addictions.
Edmonton Community Foundation has provided over $55,000 to the Association from a variety of Community, Field of Interest and Flowthrough Funds.
