Legacy Partnership

The Legacy Partnership is an active, ongoing program that works with charities to build a foundation of knowledge and experience around endowment support. Together, we structure and implement a plan to invite key individuals to support the endowment fund, making a gift today or through their will and estate plans.
When your organization participates in the Legacy Partnership, we will help you:
- develop the skills needed to successfully build an endowment fund,
- know more about why your donors support you,
- engage your donors and volunteers more fully,
- share your long-term vision with your supporters, and
- share specific skills and methods to gather your donors close.

Benefits of Partnering with the Foundation
Edmonton Community Foundation helps charities build endowment funds by:
- simplifying the donation process - we accept most types of assets,
- providing gift receipts and financial reports for your fund,
- reducing the administrative costs and management of endowment funds,
- engaging cost-effective and prudent professional investment management,
- enhancing the financial credibility of your organization through a partnership with ECF, which has long been trusted by donors as the first choice to create endowments,
- supporting the vision and dreams of donors,
- providing donors with flexible fund and gifting options that meet their specific needs and support the causes important to them,
- providing endowment education and support to donors, staff and volunteers, and
- allowing your staff time to focus on organizational objectives, rather than the administrative complexities of establishing, maintaining and monitoring investment policies and procedures.
