Gifts in Wills (Bequests)

Gifts in wills allow you to make extraordinary gifts and to continue the charitable support you have given during your lifetime for generations to come. They also provide valuable tax savings.
If you choose this option, please let the Foundation know you have named “Edmonton Community Foundation” in your will – and talk to us about your gift.
We can suggest wording to simplify your will, allow you to easily make changes to your charitable choices later and to accurately reflect your wishes so they are clearly understood.
Our short “will intention” documents do not impose any obligation on you to make a gift in your will. Instead they create our promise to you to fulfil your charitable goals.
Getting Started
Talk to the Foundation and your professional advisor about your wishes. We will help you determine how your gift will support the charities and causes important to you.
