Many companies have a corporate matching donation program that encourages their employees to make philanthropic gifts to charities. Corporations will match contribution made to charities by their current and past employees, board members, directors as well as spouses, widows and widowers. If you are considering making a gift to a charity, check with your employer to see if they take part in the corporate matching donation program.
