The Dawson J. Koski Memorial Fund was established in 2005 by David and Sheryl Koski in memory of their infant son, Dawson James Koski, who died at birth from twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome. The Koskis wanted to turn an unexpected and devastating event in their lives into an opportunity to help others.
The fund is an emerging fund administered by the Edmonton Community Foundation. When it emerges, it will provide annual, ongoing support to charities helping children coping with serious illness and their families, and will fund medical research into serious illnesses affecting children.
