Hans & Renee Bezemer Fund
The purpose of the Hans and Renee Bezemer Award is to help new immigrants, including refugees, access the more intensive and advanced courses offered in the CCI(Community Cultural Institute)Program when they lack the financial means to do so.
Hans and Renee Bezemer are both immigrants and their lifelong desire to explore and understand different cultures, led them to become volunteers and teachers helping new immigrants to develop their English language skills.
Observing that some students in the LEX (The Learning Exchange) program could benefit from financial assistance to attend CCI courses, and to honour the memory of her husband Hans, and their shared commitment to providing support for new immigrants, Renee established the Hans & Renee Bezemer Award.
With your help, they hope their endowment fund is able to provide more awards to students to pursue and continue their English education!
