Kinsey Verbeek was a Grade 11 student who passed away at the age of 15. Despite the personal challenges Kinsey faced, her loved ones remember her as a friend, an ally, and an inspiration for positive change in the world. The Kinsey Verbeek Memorial Award was created by her family to recognize other young people who help make the world a better place despite the barriers they face.
