Shirley & Gordon Gifford Family Fund
The Shirley and Gordon Fund was established with the Edmonton Community Foundation (ECF) in 2004. Shirley and Gordon believed in helping others and giving back to the Edmonton community. They gave of their time and resources in many areas and strongly supported helping children, women and people with invisible disabilities.
When their children were young they volunteered to support their activities. Shirley led a Brownie Troup and Gordon was involved with Little League. Shirley served on the board of the YMCA for many years and was awarded an honorary lifetime membership. Gordon was on several boards including St Paul’s United Church and St Stephen’s Theological College.
It was very important to both Shirley and Gordon that their legacy continue to support those in need.
